I have the model 1913 arms room rack lock with the misspelling “Ordnance”. It was dropped and it’s difficult to open now but still works. Any interest in receiving this lock for evaluation? I would like it back.
@Fish Picks email sales@covertinstruments.com with your order number and we can check status, but I suspect your package has been waiting for you in UK customs.
LPL I ordered a decoder with the first batch or stock and am still waiting to received it - have all the orders been fulfilled? I have been patient because I assumed postage to the UK might have been delayed but I am wondering whether it has gone missing on route?
This could be involved but it would be interesting to see if an induction coil heater like ilclass.info/milk/uoGUmruah2aWq7M/wyd-w could be used to melt a zinc containing steel lock. That is assuming you haven't done something like this in the past in which case just ignore this.
I really appreciate the bit of history that comes with this video, regarding the use of zinc due to a steel shortage/diversion at the time it was made. It's these little tidbits that keep me coming back.
Hi I’m taking up lock picking as a hobby and started with the number dial padlocks and bike chains. Really enjoy your channel, hopefully il be picking key locks soon

Could you please take a stab at the different Smart Locks for your front door that exist these days? I am interested in them but I would like to see you take a stab at them before I buy one! Like the Glue Smart Lock for example, seems to be popular here in Scandinavia EDIT: Seems that Glue actually does not change the actual locking mechanism. So it might not be relevant. But other smart locks might be!
US Government property there! In all seriousness, the Postal Service uses a strange type of lock for collection boxes that I would love to understand. I bet you know what I'm talking about, but since these locks are actually still in federal service getting you one would probably be illegal.
I have one without the military markings. But haven't been as lucky getting it open. Don't know if something inside is buggered as even heavy tension everything stays springy.
Imagine if lock picking lawyer was john wick, Hahah john picking u have fallen into my deadly gas chamber locked with 45 locks, there’s no way out and then he just pulls out a pencil
I had a dream last night that I was trying to lock something up but the lock was a super weird shape (kinda like a cross between a U-lock and a fist-sized boat anchor) and the damn thing wouldn't stay shut. I flipped it over to try and figure out what was wrong with it and lo and behold, emblazoned across the back was a giant Masterlock logo. Go figure.
