I remember as a child being so proud because I'd managed to 'pick' a padlock using a paperclip. What I know now is that LPL could probably have opened it just by saying mean things about it.

I use a $50 lock to lock up $20 in quarters, $10 in soap and 5 in laundry sheets lol I needed an excuse to get one lol I also had it custom keyed highest high to lowest low hahaha

The tension insert is usually at the bottom of the keyway, right? That means the lock is secure if rational is binding ;-)

So, I recently got a set of lockpicks and I was wondering what double-sided picks are used for? I haven't seen you use or talk about them in any of your previous videos.

Would a silent grinder or a soundproof bag you could wrap it and the lock in make everything you do moot.... I mean besides from the fact that key locks are only a first level and opportunistic deterrent and delaying device.. dear Mr. LockPickingLawyer, why do we not make a lock where you need to have all the pins pushed at the same time? from what i understand when you pick a standard lock like a master lock, you push the pins and they stay there, if we could make it where we have to push them all at the same time, wouldnt it make lock picking MILES harder? hopefully you see this and explain it to me.

That Twiskee Key. if I ever came across that Key it self. and not the lock and Not knowing it was manufacture that way. I would of said I can fix that by striating the Key out, in my bench vice. Making it flat and strait like a normal Key.

At this point locks really are nothing but a deterrence.

I appreciate all your info and cautions about locks and home security. OTOH, it also depends if you have anything worth bothering, and if you want to get past the people, alarms, and dogs at the location. Security, like pen tests, is dependent on breadth and depth.
